Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Sleeping night after night for months on end, this little guy was desperate for a familiar and seemingly safe surrounding to lay his head at night. The backyard of a local family's home was just that. Scared and exhausted, the people living there allowed him to stay in the backyard when he'd come around at night. The sad thing was that this yard was filled with the rotten stench of dead rats and birds and their decayed corpses. When we heard about this we knew we had to rescue him immediately. Our dear friends of the rescue community were able to corner this baby and catch him as he was screaming in fear. Charlie is now fully vetted and is a ... (Read More)happy boy. Never mind, Temo is a love--he adores attention, giving kisses, and playing. He may be younger than his listed age(seven years)because it seems like he has a ton of energy! He bounces up and down on all four legs when he is excited, a very flattering greeting. Temo is good with other dogs but requires a proper introduction.     WE CAN ONLY ADOPT TO PEOPLE LIVING IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WHO CAN MEET WITH US AND THE DOG they are interested in IN SAN FRANCISCO Little Lilac is a sweet, delicate terrier mix who was found stray in Fresno. A bit timid around all of the loud noises at the shelter, she still got along well with her kennelmates and relished the attention of her human friends. Luckily, Lilac has a caring foster, but she needs a home she can belong to forever. Weighing in a 12 pounds, she doesn't need a large spread. An apartment would suit her fine! Scottish Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Amelia - female Terrier/Doxie mix pup. Born 4 June 2012. Her owner got her from a friend and then realized she couldn't take care of her, our rescue vet referred her to us. We took in Amelia to prevent this cute as button innocent baby from going to a shelter. In a shelter she probably would have been adopted but not before contracting as a minimum kennel cough and most likely distemper and/or parvo as she had no vaccinations. Amelia can't wait until she can come out and play with the big dogs at her foster home. She weighs about 5 lbs now so we expect she will be a small dog (under 20 pounds) when full grown but there are no guarantees. As ... (Read More)we do not know the parents. lnteresting Scottish Terrier Trivia Low-Cost California Spay & Neuter Clinics
Scottish Terriers are usually used as pets, but were originally working dogs bred to hunt animals in their dens. Scottish Terriers are also known as Aberdeen Terriers after the town of Aberdeen, Scotland. The first Scottish Terriers were bred around the turn of the eighteenth century in Scotland. Modern Scotties date back to Victorian times. Scotties are often groomed with long hair covering their legs, making them appear to be very close to the ground.
