Rescue Me ID: 17-01-17-00326nala (female)

Scottish Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Nala is an 8 yr old scottie/schnauzer mix, I have had her since she was 12 weeks old. She is a very sweet dog and is stubborn at same time. She does well with older children over 12 yrs at least also with dogs around her size though her buddy was a German Shepherd. She would do well once she warms up to you just like anything else she can be shy, submissive and dominant it definitely would be great if you were around or aware of the breed as she is Scottish Terrier and Schnauzer. She is also potty trained and has never had health issues. She is almost 9 years old with a 2 year old personality young at heart and tries to talk to you.I have a ... (Read More)son he is 12 yrs old and has been around Nala from time he was born but I would say Nala is best with older kids now as she has gotten older. Great companion and a great personality. The only reason I am trying to rehome her is I am a single mom that works all the time and its not fair to her and also because I want her to live out the rest of her years around people that will spoil and spend time with her (Less)

Scottish Terriers are usually used as pets, but were originally working dogs bred to hunt animals in their dens. Scotties are often groomed with long hair covering their legs, making them appear to be very close to the ground.
