|Rescue Me ID: 16-11-29-00207Brenna (female)|
No fee to good home. My grandmother is no longer able to live alone, and she's moving in with her daughters who have two dogs Brenna does not get along with. When my mother tried to introduce Brenna to her dogs, Brenna was off leash and attacked my mother's chihuahua who required vet attention from the bites. I am the granddaughter and tried a very controlled introduction to my Collie who she also wanted to attack. She is a very sweet dog with people, she barks at new people at first but will warm up quickly. She likes to cuddle or just lay near people, she has the occasional burst of energy where she will zoom or fetch or just generally spaz out but she doesn't have much endurance as she is a senior. She would be a great companion dog for someone, I wish I could keep her until a home is found but because of her aggression and lack of socialization with other dogs in her past it just isn't an option. |Rescue Me ID: 16-11-02-00221Ruby & Pearl (female)|
Purebred Scotties -- about 7 years old (they are sisters as they're from the same parents but about 6 months apart ... different litters) and they have grown up together. To be adopted as a pair only and cannot be separated. Both girls are housebroken and very nicely trained. They love going for walks and ride well in the car. Ruby is very attached to her person and will follow like a shadow all over the house. Ruby and Pearl are friendly, happy, and loving, however, they can be unpredictable with children as well as with strangers who come into the home. Two Pathways volunteers have met them on separate occasions, as well as a trainer who evaluated them.. The interaction with both dogs was tail wagging and snuggling up for petting (Ruby has indicated she likes getting a belly rub every morning). We're seeking a home with no children for these beautiful girls, and an environment where there's an understanding that if, for example, a repair or delivery person will be coming into the home that the dogs would be crated at that time. They really are sweet and have such nice manners -- we are not saying they are to live crated, but rather, just based on the history that the previous owner gave us, if a plumber is coming to do some work, just crate them for that duration. Both are spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Ruby and Pearl are available for meeting by appointment only. Please send a message to us to request an adoption application. Scottish Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Scottish Terrier, or Scottie, is a small, typically black, bearded Terrier. Scotties are bold, winsome dogs that are bursting with personality. Scotties are known for being rather temperamental and changeable. Scottish Terriers are willful but also sensitive to harsh training. Obedience training should start early and be consistent and kind. Scotties make good companions for families with older kids. A Scottish Terrier can live in an apartment with enough exercise.
